There are many ways to think of Depression

Have you ever thought of what this thing called  ‘mood’ is all about. Well when we feel happy we are positive in what we are thinking, we normally feel that we have energy and even physically we feel comfortable and light.

Opposite to this happy experience, our thoughts are pessimistic, everything is such a big effort and we even feel uncomfortable physically.

The way your mood is can importantly be affected by the way you think and view the world. The things that you believe and assume will colour your ways of thinking. Habits that we develop over time in how we think can sometimes explain why we see some events as bright or depressive.

You will find that disturbances in the way we think can be at the centre of problems with our mood something referred to as ‘cognitive distortions’.
